Appreciation for Former Senior Pastor - February 5, 2012
Bethel members showed their appreciation to Pastor Wade for his service to the church as their senior pastor from December 2006 to December 2011. During a luncheon, dedicated in their honor, members expressed their gratitude to him, his wife, Maribel, and their two children. A love offering and various gifts were presented to them. The February 5, 2012 event was planned as a surprise "party" for the former senior pastor and his family. And were they surprised. Pastor Wade is now serving as Associate Pastor at Bethel. THANK YOU Pastor Wade, Maribel and family.

Bethel Welcomes New Pastor - December 11, 2011
On Sunday, December 11, 2011 the members of Bethel Church elected Pastor Ben to serve as its next pastor, two weeks after the resignation of Pastor Wade who pastored the church for 5 years—he will remain on staff at Bethel. Reverends Ben & Debbie are both credentialed ministers with the Assemblies of God, serving 21 years as senior pastors and celebrating 25 years of marriage. They have 3 children and 3 dogs. They met at Bible college where Debbie earned her teaching degree. Pastor Ben graduated from Fuller Seminary and is completing his doctorate degree at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. They enjoy helping people discover their God-given purpose in life and nurturing their relationship with Jesus Christ. Their entire family are fans of the Los Angeles Lakers—God's favorite basketball team (so says Pastor Ben). Welcome Pastors Ben & Debbie and family to Bethel.

Pastor Ben's primary duties as lead pastor are three-fold: teaching, vision casting, and leadership development. As teaching pastor he serves as the primary communicator for Sunday worship gatherings, teaching the people of God to "grow in the grace and knowledge" of Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). In casting vision, Pastor Ben leads Bethel to become what God intends it to be and to fulfill its mission (Matthew 28:19-20). In the area of leadership development, the pastor provides strategies "to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12 ESV).
